Practical tools to manage carbon costs

Workshops were held during July and August 2011 providing practical tools for manufacturers to create new business opportunities and cost savings by improving efficiency, identifying new markets and leveraging available funding in a carbon constrained economy.

Two fact sheets are available which can be used to manage your carbon costs.  The first provides the steps you need to take to calculate your business's carbon footprint while the second outlines the benefits of using Marginal Abatement Cost Curves (MACCs) for your business.  Click here to view the fact sheets.

Food and Wine Manufacturing Eco-efficiency Workshop in the Stanthorpe Region

A successful workshop was held at Stanthorpe on Wednesday 25 March.  The major interest was in energy efficiency and carbon footprinting.  An enthusiastic discussion was held on how a carbon footprint can benefit the manufacturer and what are the future carbon issues for the agriculture industry.  All participants left with an idea of something they wanted to implement on their site.
