Working Group for Cleaner Production
 

The Working Group for Cleaner Production, located within the School of Geography, Planning and Environmental Management at The University of Queensland, has been assisting industry to implement eco-efficiency since 1996.

Our main objectives are to:

  • Help manufacturing enterprises profit from better environmental and workplace management.
  • Provide consultancy services to industry and government clients interested in promoting resource efficiencies in production and throughout the supply chain.
  • Provide education and training in Cleaner Production
  • Act as a clearing-house for information and resources related to Cleaner Production information.

We have undertaken many industry specific projects and specialise in the Food, Metal Finishing, Foundries and Marine industries. The information provided on this website was compiled by the group.

  • Energy, water, resources and waste minimisation assessments and audits
  • Development and facilitation of Cleaner Production/eco-efficiency and waste minimisation strategies and implementation plans
  • Development of environmental management systems (EMS)

  • Providing seminars and workshops

We have completed ecoBiz Facilitator training and are certified facilitators to assist businesses to complete and benefit from the ecoBiz program.
